The Delft University of Technology offers a number of excellence scholarship programs for international students. The Justus & Louise van Effen scholarship aims to financially supporting excellent international MSc students wishing to study at TU Delft. The scholarship covers the tuition fees and monthly allowance for living expenses.

Eligible for Scholarship: Excellent applicants admitted to one of TU Delft’s MSc programmes, with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 80 percent or higher of the scale maximum in your bachelor’s degree from an internationally renowned university.

Application Overview : There is no separate application procedure for these scholarships. To be considered for these scholarships, you must apply for admissions to an MSc programme offered at TU Delft. Applications must be received before 1 December of the preceding year.

All required documentation must be received by the university before 1 November of the preceding year.

Each year, the Utrecht Excellence Scholarship offers a number of highly talented students from non-EU/EEA countries to pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a selected number of fields at Utrecht University.

Eligible for Scholarship:
The applicant must meet the eligibility criteria in order to be considered for this scholarship. The applicant should:
• Not have the Dutch or an EU/EEA nationality;
• Hold a non-Dutch secondary school diploma;
• Have been admitted to an International Master’s programme within one of the Graduate Schools mentioned above, the Bachelor’s programme in Economics and Business Economics or to University College Utrecht;
• Hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree (for a Master’s programme) or secondary school diploma (for a Bachelor’s programme), or an equivalent thereof;
• Be able to comply with the conditions to obtain a Dutch visa;
Failure to meet one or more of these criteria automatically means the student is not eligible for this scholarship.

Selection criteria :
Eligible candidates are selected for a scholarship on the basis of the following criteria:
1. Their academic excellence and promise in the proposed field of study;
2. The academic quality and results of the preceding education, as evidenced, for example, by grades, test scores, publications, letters of recommendation;
3. The quality and relevance of the motivation letter (academic content, intercultural and communication skills, personal motivation);
4. The quality and feasibility of the financial plan in the application;
5. The quality of the application itself (completeness, accuracy, consistency).
Application Overview :
It is not possible to apply directly for the scholarship, but when you apply for admission to the programme of your choice, you can indicate whether you wish to be considered for this scholarship. The selection committees will review the application files for possible nominees.

Application Deadline: Prospective Bachelor’s students in Economics and Business Economics who wish to be considered for the scholarship should apply for admission before 1 April every year.

Prospective Master’s students who wish to be considered for the scholarship should apply for admission before 1 December every year.

Leiden University Excellence Scholarships in Netherlands(LexS)

Scholarships are awarded for all MA, MSc and LL.M programmes for Non-EU/EEA students and for master’s of Law Advanced Programme or MSc in International Relations and Diplomacy for students of all nationalities. Scholarships will not be awarded to applicants who have already obtained a Leiden University master’s degree.

The number and type of awards of the scholarships depend on the budget available of the Faculty department
Eligible for Scholarship:
• Non-EU/EEA students enrolling in a Leiden University master’s degree program.
• In his or her prior academic education abroad, the applicant must have achieved excellent study results which are relevant for the program for which the student wishes to enroll. As an indication, the student will be among the top 10% for the relevant program followed abroad.
• The applicant will hold a non-EU/EEA passport and will not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans (“Studiefinanciering”; for more information please refer to: www.ib-groep.nl.
• Scholarships will not be awarded to applicants who have already obtained a Leiden University master’s degree
• Students who are granted a Leiden Excellence Scholarship must comply with and confirm in writing their agreement with the terms and conditions (pdf) attached to the scholarship prior to the granting of the scholarship.
Application Overview : You must first apply for admissions to Leiden University online. In your application, you must indicate clearly that you would like to apply for the LExS scholarship and upload your letter of motivation for the LExS scholarship on the scholarship page.

Application Deadline: The application deadline is 1 October 2015 for all programmes starting in February 2016 and 1 February 2016 for all programmes starting in September 2016.

Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships

Macquarie-UniversityMacquarie University in Sydney is offering full tuition fee scholarships to high achieving international undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship is highly competitive and awarded based on academic merit.

Scholarship Award :  Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship is a partial scholarship for undergraduate and postgraduate studies, the amount is varied up to AUD$10,000 and it will be awarded towards the commencement fee or reimbursed if fees already paid.
Eligible for Scholarship:

Applicants must:

  • Have citizenship of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
  • Have met the University’s academic and English requirements for the course to be considered for a scholarship (must hold a full offer of admission for North Ryde by the application deadline).
  • Have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 for Postgraduate applications and minimum requirement of an ATAR equivalent of 90 out of 100 for Undergraduate applications.
  • Have applied for a program that is longer than one Session in duration.
  • Commence study in session and year indicated in the scholarship offer letter.
  • Have applied for a course which has a full-time study load.
  • Commence study in the semester and year indicated in their offer of Scholarship. Commencement may not be deferred.

Application Overview : Applicants must complete an online course application form. Online course application will enable you to select your course and upload scanned copies of the required documents.
-Once your course application has been processed, you will receive a Macquarie University Student Number which is compulsory to submit the online MUIS application form.
-Applicants must indicate on the MUIS application form which scholarship they are applying for: Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship Undergraduate and Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship Postgraduate.
Application Deadline: The application deadline is 30 June 2015 for Semester 2, 2015.
