Scholarship Award :  Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship is a partial scholarship for undergraduate and postgraduate studies, the amount is varied up to AUD$10,000 and it will be awarded towards the commencement fee or reimbursed if fees already paid.
Eligible for Scholarship:

Applicants must:

  • Have citizenship of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
  • Have met the University’s academic and English requirements for the course to be considered for a scholarship (must hold a full offer of admission for North Ryde by the application deadline).
  • Have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 for Postgraduate applications and minimum requirement of an ATAR equivalent of 90 out of 100 for Undergraduate applications.
  • Have applied for a program that is longer than one Session in duration.
  • Commence study in session and year indicated in the scholarship offer letter.
  • Have applied for a course which has a full-time study load.
  • Commence study in the semester and year indicated in their offer of Scholarship. Commencement may not be deferred.

Application Overview : Applicants must complete an online course application form. Online course application will enable you to select your course and upload scanned copies of the required documents.
-Once your course application has been processed, you will receive a Macquarie University Student Number which is compulsory to submit the online MUIS application form.
-Applicants must indicate on the MUIS application form which scholarship they are applying for: Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship Undergraduate and Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship Postgraduate.

Monash International Merit Scholarships

La Trobe Academic Excellence Scholarships for International Students

La Trobe University offers an extensive program of scholarships to students who have high academic profile. This Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES) cover tuition fees for high-achieving International Students accepted into undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs.

Scholarship Award : The scholarship is worth between $10,000 and $20,000 and goes towards tuition fees. The scholarships are paid across a maximum of two semesters (or 12 months). These scholarships are not renewable and do not cover living costs.

  • Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand
  • Must be applying to start an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program
  • Must also have scored 85% or equivalent in their previous degree/award

You can only apply for this scholarship if you have an offer to study in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program program at La Trobe University.  After you receive your offer, you must complete the scholarship application form and submit it to La Trobe International by the application deadline.

  • AUD$10,000 each per annum (ie, $15,000 in total for a 1.5 year program, $20,000 in total for a 2 year program), available for the CRICOS registered duration of a recipient’s program of study, for any Postgraduate Coursework program offered at the University of Sydney (subject to the recipient maintaining satisfactory academic progress each year).

  • To be considered for the Sydney Achievers International Scholarship, a candidate must receive an Unconditional Offer of Admission.
  • All eligible applicants with an unconditional offer by a specified cut-off date will be considered. From that pool, top-ranked eligible applicants will be selected and invited to complete an Expression of Interest form. All those returning a completed EOI form by the due date will be further considered, from which successful candidates will be selected and then offered the scholarship by email.

  • Selection will be based strictly on academic merit as per the University’s admission requirements.
  • Only applicants with unconditional offers of admission will be considered.
  • Selection will be made by the Student Recruitment & Admissions Group, whose decision will be final. No appeals will be entertained.

The DHS Undergraduate Scholarship Program

The Department of Homeland Security is offering an undergraduate scholarship for 2011. This easy scholarship is available to undergraduate students who do have not earned a bachelors degree before the application deadline. The benefit is $1000 per month over 9 academic months beginning in the fall of 2011 and rewarded a second year for $18,000 total if academic progress is achieved. To qualify for the scholarship, you must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher on a 4.00 scale. Your field of study must be majoring in a homeland security related field as defined in the eligibility terms. Full time students must be in a sophomore by the end of the application deadline. Any part time applicant must have 60 to 75 quarter hours to qualify to apply for the scholarship.

Recipients of the scholarship must attend the 2011 Fall Career Development Conference and participate in a 10 week internship in 2012 or upon completion of your degree or you will be found ineligible. In addition to the $1000 / month for 9 months during the academic year, the summer internship lasting 10 weeks will be compensated at a rate of $5000. The 10 week program is intended to fulfill off-campus research as an intern at the Department of Homeland Security or a Department of Homeland Security affiliated facility. In addition to the internship, full time service is required in a Homeland Security approved field. This can be via a paid employment you arrange or from volunteer work. This requirement is to be fulfilled upon your own accord (you must find the job yourself). This requirement can be broken into two (2) six month periods at no more than 2 locations. This program is only available to U.S. Citizens attending a accredited college or university located in the United States.

Upon accepting this scholarship you cannot accept any other federal scholarships, fellowships or grants during this appointment. You are allowed to accept educational benefits as needed and approved by the Department of Homeland Security as provided by the Department of Veteran Affairs. The deadline to submit your online application is Midnight January 5, 2011. You must respond to a list of questions that will help determine your eligibility to apply for a DHS scholarship. The completion of this survey will give you access to the application. With your application you should include official records stating your SAT or ACT test scores, your academic transcripts, reference reports from your professors, and 3 essays. The essay topic details are outlined online and cover: Research Experience, Current Research Interest and Homeland Security Service.

The essays should relate to the Department of Homeland Security and help the review panel composed of engineers and scientists determine the best fit applicants. The applications will be ranked by the panel and the highest ranking applications will then be reviewed for final selection of the scholarships. Your submission is to include all essay questions required. You need to submit two online reference report forms within one week by January 12, 2011. You must also submit a copy of your birth certificate by January 12, 2011 if you do not have an a current U.S. Passport. Any supporting documentation for test scores must be certified. Any documentation in excess of allowed limits will not be considered received and will not be used as part of your application.
